Canada – New IFRS Discussion Group

Canada’s Accounting Standards Board (AcSB) has announced the appointments to its IFRS Discussion Group (IDG). The purpose of the IDG is to assist the AcSB in identifying issues relating to the application of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) in Canada. The IDG will be a public forum in which such issues can be discussed. It will make recommendations as to whether particular issues should be referred to the International Accounting Standards Board (IASB) or the IASB’s International Financial Reporting Interpretations Committee. The first meeting will be on Wednesday November 25, 2009 in Toronto, Canada.
